Ken Chowder has written three novels: Blackbird DaysDelicate Geometry and Jadis. All were published by Harper & Row—one is in Penguins, another was given the Harper-Saxton Prize, and a third was an Editors’ Choice book at The New York Times and Washington Post. The New Yorker liked all three; it said, for example, this: “The thirteen chapters of Blackbird Days seem to frame thirteen clues to one essential secret.”

He’s also published about twenty short stories in literary magazines, including The Southern Review, Harper’s, The New England Review, American Short Fiction, Boulevard, Fiction Network, Yankee, The Idler, Short Story International, Southwest Review and many newspapers and regional magazines. A story was read on “The Sound of Writing” (National Public Radio).
